Poetry Performance, Workshops, Etcetera

I have performed as featured poet at The Cantab Lounge, The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, The Green Mill, and many other poetry venues. You can read a review of my performance at the Nuyorican here.

My work has appeared in papers, journals, zines, and anthologies, both print and online.

I have acted as a mentor and editor for youth in both writing and performance for Books of Hope, a youth-literacy empowerment program based in Somerville, MA.

I have taught workshops, performed, and spoken at Brandeis University, Indiana University and the University of Cincinnati.

"Dear Jade, Thank you so much for offering to do a CRR Author reading of your poetry and conduct a student/poet workshop with our students and faculty.... We received such positive responses from students and faculty about your poems' subjects and your interpretation of them. Your approach with students while holding such personalized and candid discussions about poetry, interpretation, and writing helped build a trust and bond between poet, the works, and students." - Marilyn J.
